Project Overview

Objective:

To provide Youth With a Mission (YWAM) staff with the tools and training necessary to sustain their missions through a hosted website and specialized seminars. This project aims to raise funds to provide 200 websites over the next year and offer comprehensive training to staff members.

Outcome:

The staff of Youth With a Mission will become proficient in managing their own websites and will gain skills to create engaging content and compelling newsletters. The websites will manage all aspects of Newsletter production, retention, and viewer metrics. The website will be able to create and present a staff member’s projects both for prayer and encouragement and funding and receiving donations.

Phase 1:

Fundraising for Website Hosting.

Goal

Raise $25,000 to provide 200 YWAM staff members with a hosted website and access to seminars for one year.

Budget.

Cost per staff member: $125

  • Website hosting for one year: $75
  • Access to seminars: $50

Fundraising Strategy.

1. Direct Funding.

  • Working with existing friends and supporters of YWAM staff for donations to sponsor this initiative.
  • https://ywam.life is the parent site already used by several YWAM staff members to create their own websites.
  • People will be able to give at this site designated for this project, a go-fund me-type initiative.

2. Circle Back:

  • Create compelling stories and videos showcasing the impact of YWAM staff and how a website will aid their mission.

3. Corporate Sponsorships:

  • Approach businesses and corporations for sponsorships or donations.
  • Offer branding opportunities on the websites and seminar materials for corporate sponsors.

4. Church and Community Engagement:

  • Partner with churches and community groups to raise awareness and funds.
  • Champion people already doing interesting things and sponsored one-on-one support of YWAM staff and their projects.

5. Online and Social Media Campaigns:

  • Utilize social media platforms to reach a broader audience.
  • Create shareable content and encourage supporters to spread the word.

Vision to Provision: Moving from a needs-based mentality in support raising to a vision-based partnership and prayer model.

Vision Development:

Online worksheets.

  • Vision: defining one’s vision, why are you doing what you are doing.
  • Goals: Also incorporate how you got to be doing what you are doing.
  • Step: Ensure your daily and weekly work is archiving the Goals of your Vision.

  • Online Seminars: Accessible to all staff members regardless of location.
  • One-on-one: Access to schedule time with a personal trainer.
  • In-Person Workshops: Conducted at regional YWAM centers for hands-on training.

  • Monthly Webinars: Covering different aspects of website management and vision development.
    Quarterly Workshops: Intensive sessions focusing on advanced skills and peer networking.

Evaluation and Support

New Webmasters

Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Progress Tracking: Regular check-ins to monitor website development and seminar participation.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Surveys and feedback forms to assess the effectiveness of the training.
  • Training Courses. Quiz-based online course, with completion certificates to manage progress.

  • As people become proficient in whatever field their Vision in Jesus is leading them, they will be able to become instructors on this platform.

 

Ongoing Support:

New Webmasters

  • Helpdesk: Support people to assist with technical issues.
  • Community Forum: Platform for staff to share experiences and advice. Our Forum.

  • New Webmasters: We have already discovered individuals with natural Webmaster Skills. Mentoring these people will enable better training that does not require crossing a language barrier.

  2. Month 3-4: Begin website set up for the first batch of staff members.
  3. Month 5-6: Start the first round of seminars.
  4. Month 7-12: Continue website setups and seminars and evaluate progress.

This project will empower YWAM staff by providing them with essential tools and knowledge to sustain their missions.

By transitioning from a needs-based mentality to a vision partnership and prayer model, staff members will be better equipped to achieve their goals and support their communities.
